    Starting out is harder than ever

    Landing that first job or internship isn’t easy. If you’re early in your career, you’re competing with hundreds of other applicants, many with more experience. On top of that, the job market is shifting quickly with new technologies, changing hiring practices, and fewer opportunities in some fields. It’s tough to stand out when all you have is a resume and a LinkedIn profile.

    The truth is, employers want to see more than just a list of jobs or classes. They want to see what you can actually do. That’s where a strong portfolio comes in.

    Why portfolios matter

    A portfolio gives you the chance to tell your story. It’s a place to show off your projects, your problem-solving skills, and even the way you think. Unlike a resume, which often looks the same as everyone else’s, a portfolio is personal. It shows employers the real you.
